Responding to Program Results
At NASA, awards are given for the right contribution, to the right people and in the right way. |
Your role is to help us achieve this desired vision for giving awards. Based on a NASA benchmarking study of best practice companies, regular systematic assessment seems to play an important role in ensuring the success of recognition and award practices. By responding to program data, you will help create confidence in our ability to measure the benefits and impact of recognition programs and practices.
Names of award recipients are currently posted on the web for some types of awards and will be similarly done for other types of awards in the future. This is a significant step in developing the organizational capability for a more transparent and informed system about who is meeting established award criteria and the accomplishments being recognized. To review these lists of award recipients, refer to specific award program descriptions and websites:
Workforce survey results, studies and other data on NASA’s recognition programs and practices are provided on this site for everyone’s accessibility. Data on your organization or Center can be provided or requested through your local Awards Program Office.
Just Ask. Periodically ask your employees what motivates them and if they are being recognized for work well done.
