How do I logoff from the Organizational Profile System
NOPS will time out after 20 minutes of inactivity in case you left your desk and forgot to logoff.
What hardware/software is required to access this site?
NOPS was designed for operation under Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later) on IBM-compatible PCs. NOPS will operate under Netscape Navigator 6.0 and earlier versions.
Your browser must support Secure Socket Layers (SSL) with 128-bit data encryption and JavaScript. "Cookies" must be enabled. Both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator have options which support these capabilities.
What are "cookies" and why/how does this site use them?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information which are stored on the user's computer by the application software. NOPS uses cookies to store two computer-generated identifiers that uniquely associate the user to NOPS data created during the current session. No private/personal data is stored in cookies. NOPS uses "session" cookies which are valid only while the browser is open and displaying NOPS data. When the browser closes, the cookies are deleted.
Who can access the NASA Organization Profile System?
Access to NOPS is limited to NASA supervisors and key staff. The employee must also have access to the NASA intranet (NOPS will not be available via the internet) using their NASA Employee Benefits System (NEBS) pin code.
How do I get a NEBS PIN Code?
PIN codes are issued via mail. New supervisors will receive access automatically when their supervisory identification is entered into FPPS. After that time their NOPS PIN code will give them access to NOPS.
I have forgotten my PIN code. How do I reset it?
Contact the Benefits Counselor of your local Human Resources Office to reset your NOPS PIN code.
